I'll be anxious to see how this product holds up over time, but for now it's wonderful. I can put way more stuff into this rucksack without weighing myself down. I like the fact that this product has no metal frame. I don't need all that extra weight. For the price, it seems to have been a very good buy.

Took this along on a hike around downtown New York city...big mistake.
My biggest complaint is the shoulder straps are stitched far too close together at the top.
They are also thin and without padding.
Do not waste your money here on this item.
Spend an extra $30 and get something that is at the least comfortable to lug around for an extended time period.

Well, I was looking for a Backpack that wouldn't rip when I loaded it with Books. This One Didn't, however this is because when I did over load it the straps began to slip and slacken...nearly falling off. The Metal tips on the straps are nice but already two of them have fallen off, or are mostly already off. The Back Still Works, its just that's a bit annoying. But I'd recommend it for others.

A rucksack is essentially a canvas bag with shoulder straps and, in most cases, a few side pockets for water bottles, first-aid kit, lunch, or whatever. There is no frame to support the pack and distribute its weight to the hips; so a heavy load will wear on the shoulders, and this model has no padding on the shoulder straps. It has a "belt" strap that only keeps the pack steady. The nice thing about a rucksack is that the single large volume can be stuffed with odd-sized items like fishing waders, wading boots, rain gear, etc. It is the least expensive option for that purpose. I would have preferred that the various closure straps had snap-in connections (like the belt) rather than buckles that need to be threaded and unthreaded every time. You get what you pay for, and I'm satisfied with this rucksack on that basis.

Lots of pockets, seems well made, comfortable to wear. Might be a little big for a small women.
